    Canada introduced Bill C-21 to give effect to the Red River Métis Self-Government Recognition and Implementation Treaty.

    If enacted, it would give statutory effect to a first-of-its-kind Métis self-government treaty. As of the cutoff it remained a bill, not operative law.
