Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit
Canadian ProgramsA quarterly tax-free payment that helps low- and modest-income individuals and families with the cost of essentials. It replaced the GST/HST credit in July 2026, keeping the same eligibility rules, income test and payment schedule at a higher amount. You receive it automatically when you file your tax return.
